Ram Navami is a really important Hindu festival celebrated to remember the birth of Lord Ram in India. This festival usually happens in March or April, during the ninth month of the Hindu lunar calendar. You might be aware of the different avatars and incarnations of lord Vishnu, who's known to be a protector of the universe. As per Hindu mythology, lord Rama is believed to be the seventh incarnation of lord Vishnu. Lord Ram was born in an ancient place called Ayodhya as the son of King Dasaratha and Queen Kaushalya. The life of lord Rama is described beautifully by Valmiki through the holy book Ramayana. 

Ram Navami reminds us that good always wins over bad, encouraging us to be better people. It's a happy time filled with special customs and traditions. Some people fast and pray, sing songs and chant mantras in homes and temples.

The celebration of Ram Navami starts with cleaning and decorating the houses.
