Nadahabba or the state festival of the state of Karnataka, Dasara was celebrated with utmost delight and joy at Raga Arts, Bangalore. Raga Arts organised ‘Bombe Jaatre sale to celebrate the spirit of Dasara from 17th to 27th of October 2020.
The concept Bombe Jaatre (Doll’s Exhibition & Sale) is based on the concept of the ‘Gombe Habba’ or doll’s festival that takes place every year during Dussehra.
In keeping with the tradition of introducing visitors to facets of heritage, special displays have been classified right in front of Raga Arts Store. Bombe Jaatre exhibits Cloth Dolls, Paper Mache Dolls, Clay Dolls , Kondpally Toys, Rubber & Cloth Dolls, Navadurga dolls, Saptamatrika dolls and sculptures relating to Mysore Dasara. Dolls made from a variety of materials such as clay, plaster of paris and wood sourced from all over the country.
